Rehabilitation
PAPS DIABET rehabilitation footwear is used during the treatment of a number of ailments, such as diabetes, forefoot strain syndrome, hallux rigidus, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), partial foot amputation, fractures, metatarsal fractures, Charcot foot.
In the case of diabetic foot syndrome (DFS), footwear is used to avoid the formation of wounds, which most often occur under the heads of the metatarsal bones, on the backs of the toes or on the heel.
The solutions used allow for relieving the plantar part of the foot and avoiding tissue damage in the place of their most common damage, and the appropriately selected width allows for securing the foot in other areas as well.
In the case of DFS, time is of great importance, which is why it is recommended to use this type of footwear already on the first visit (the lead time is max. 4 days).
The footwear is available only in specialized medical facilities and is always delivered in consultation with a specialist (orthopedist, surgeon, podiatrist, podiatrist, nursing team).
